Remember your tires are the only part of your vehicle that touches the road!

Have you thought about having Nitrogen installed in your performance and sport utility tires?

Because of the large molecular size, Nitrogen migrates through a tire 3 to 4 times slower than oxygen. A typical tire on your vehicle filled with compressed air may lose 2.7 pounds of pressure monthly; with Nitrogen, this could be reduced to 0.7 pounds or less. Decreased air pressure flattens your tires, creating more surface area between your tires and the road. That added friction makes your engine work harder and causes your tires to overheat, possibly leading to a blowout.

Proper tire pressure on your vehicle will:

  • Increase your gas mileage by reducing rolling resistance
  • Increase your vehicles safety
  • Maintains a cooler tire operating temperature during highway driving conditions
  • Tires will last longer

Under inflated tires will:

  • Cause 90% of all tire failures (blowouts)
  • Wear out quickly

Who currently uses Nitrogen in their tires?

  • Aircraft
  • Race Cars
  • Vehicles being upgraded today.

Tire pressure is important because a properly inflated tire is a safer more efficient tire. The National Safety Administration reports that most vehicle owners improve their gas mileage by nearly 3% simply by keeping their tires within the recommended pressure range.

(FAQ'S) Frequently Asked Questions Concerning Nitrogen Gas

Is Nitrogen explosive or dangerous to have installed in my tires?

No, in fact Nitrogen is very inert and safe. Nitrogen is the most commonly used chemical in the U.S.A. It is so safe that it is even used for the packaging and storing of snack foods and other foods items.

What exactly is Nitrogen?

Nitrogen, also known as Chemical No. 7 on the periodic chart of elements, is a colorless, odorless, tasteless gas that makes up about 78% of the earth's atmosphere.

How will service technicians know that I have Nitrogen installed in my tires when it is being serviced at a later date?

We use a special valve stem cap after installing your Nitrogen that clearly shows that you have Nitrogen installed in your vehicle tires. When technicians see this special cap, they will know that your vehicle will require Nitrogen to be used if any tire pressure adjustments are to be made at time of service.

How does Nitrogen in my tires save fuel?

Proper inflation reduces road resistance therefore, giving you more miles to a gallon of fuel. Your savings can be $ 300.00 per year or more.

Can I mix my regular inflated tire air with Nitrogen gas?

There is no problem with mixing your existing air with Nitrogen. But for best results, it is recommended you have at least 93% Nitrogen purity.

What happens when my tire pressure drops and I am not near a garage that offers Nitrogen gas?

Topping off with compressed air will not hurt your Nitrogen filled tires. Your tires "topped off" can be purged and refilled with Nitrogen at a later time.

If I add regular air to the Nitrogen filled tire, how do I get my Nitrogen purity back to the correct levels?

Simply schedule an appointment with us and have your tire purged and refilled with Nitrogen.

Performance Tire Maintenance Care and Tips

  • Check your tire pressure monthly, early morning when the tires are cool and your vehicle has not been driven yet.
  • Maintain your performance tires to the manufacturers recommended p.s.i. shown in the door jamb / owner's manual for your specific vehicle make / model.
  • If you have a set of over sized custom wheels and performance tires, our sales receipt will have the proper p.s.i. for your specific vehicle application.
  • We recommend re-balancing (road force speed balance) and rotating your tires front to rear every 5,000 miles to insure proper wear and maximum use.
  • For staggered fitment, we recommend simply re-balancing your tires every 5,000 miles as wheel weights may dislodge with use on your vehicle.
  • Every 12 months or 12,00 miles we recommend a 4-wheel alignment at time of re-balancing / tire rotation (most cost effective time) to complete vehicle maintenance.
